More food blogging
I'm finding that being "at home" tends to mean that I'm so occupied with running errands, doing chores and maintenance, that it ends up being more stressful than working! The good news is that I get the chance to experiment more with my food.
On Tuesday, I walked down to the Yonge/Sheppard Rabba and was fortunate enough to find sheep's milk Halloumi (pictured above). While eating most of the (admittedly somewhat small) package of it in one sitting was probably not the best idea I've ever had (just ask the migraine I had the next day), it's encouraging to see that my digestive system handles sheep's milk far better than cow's milk. The second package will undoubtedly be saved until my next pizza (which, much more wisely, will be shared, likely by many people).
Caty's visit yesterday resulted in me serving a colossal breakfast, with eggs, prosciutto, wilted spinach, Krispy Kreme donuts — as inspired by Luther burgers, which is a concept I discovered at Slashfood) — and an olive oil hollandaise sauce. Memo to self: never make Luther breakfast sandwiches again. While they were decadent, I missed having plain toast as my carb. Which is good, 'cause I keenly suspect that's the healthier choice any way.
