Beef stew in the works

  • 1 Spanish onion, chopped
  • 1 lb. stewing beef
  • most of a small bag of baby carrots, chopped
  • 6 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • frozen peas (I added enough 'til it looked like enough)
  • flour (for dredging the beef in, before fry-starting)
  • salt and pepper

You inspired me, and I was plannig to make beef stew last night.

I ended up making fish stew instead, because I thought it would be healither - but the irony is, I don't really like the taste of fish.

So I am left healthy, but unsatisfied - probably for the whole week by the time the pot is empty.

I don't imagine it does very well, but how does fish stew freeze? If you can manage to eat it again (after whatever damage a freezer may or may not inflict upon it), freeze it into individual portions so that you: a)don't have to force yourself to eat that much of it consecutively; and (b) have food readily available for eating the next time you're hitting the dregs in your fridge.
