Kara sure does know how to throw us for a loop
After two weeks of absolutely miserable sleep habits, Kara decided to go for 8-hours of mostly uninterrupted sleep last night! She woke briefly around 4am and again about an hour later, but allowed herself to be reassured back to sleep. Sadly, it came about following a previous night of about 8 hours of nighttime sleep, followed by a stunningly horrible half-hour of nap time during the day, so there are no guarantees that she'll be able to do this consistently. Ah well.

I'll be Little Miss Sunshine and say that this is great news, since there was no way she could have slept that long a few months ago....
7 ½ hours last night! I seriously hope she's not just messing with us.
She may be sorting herself out, but I keep meaning to ask if you've ever considered a sleep doula. Obviously I've never tried it myself but I've heard good things.
Yeah, we've definitely considered a sleep doula, but the only "review" we had was from a woman who said the positive changes only lasted for a short while; not exactly glowing praise. Sadly, Kara's gone back to her utterly horrible 3-5 hours between sleeps again. I'm planning on reading up on a sleep training technique or two to figure out if something like that would be a good fit for our family.
